A Wild Scottish Elopement at St Abbs | East Lothian & Edinburgh Wedding Videographer
When Justine and Fabrice decided to elope, they didn’t just pick any location—they crossed the sea from France to the rugged coastline of St Abbs, a hidden gem on Scotland’s east coast. With sheer cliffs, swirling seabirds, and the sound of crashing waves below, the setting was very epic.
Their ceremony was a beautiful blend of Celtic tradition and personal vows. They tied the knot—literally—with a handfasting, shared a drink from the quaich, and exchanged rings with nothing but the North Sea and a few curious birds as witnesses. Justine carried a dried bouquet that looked like it had been plucked from the wild Scottish landscape itself—timeless, earthy, and effortlessly elegant.
After their vows, they wandered along the cliffs together, taking in the dramatic coastline and the raw beauty that surrounded them. I was there to capture it all on film—no photos from me this time, just cinematic storytelling, sea spray, and a whole lot of heart. I was working alongside the lovely Lina Hayes, her link is below.
This is why I love elopements. No fuss, no tight schedule, just two people and a whole lot of meaning. Justine and Fabrice’s day was short, sweet, and full of soul—exactly what an elopement should be.
